Meet our hygienists. They are the foundation of our home care program. While they use their dental skills to remove soft and hard deposits, they don’t just clean teeth. We feel that it is extremely important that you not only receive high quality dental care but that you learn how to maintain that care once you leave our office. Our hygienists are educators who really care about teaching their patients about all aspects of their dental care.
Our dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. They sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare and lay out the instruments and materials required to treat each patient, and they obtain and update patient’s dental records. Our assistants make patients comfortable in the dental chair and prepare them for treatment. During dental procedures, assistants work alongside the dentist. They hand instruments and materials to the dentist and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction hoses or other devises. They also instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
Thank you so much for taking such great care of me at your office yesterday. My last visit to the dentist was very scary, but I had a lot of fun with you and Miss Katie.S., Toledo
